How different is Kidzcare from a Kidzee?
Kidzcare offers daytime care for children (6 months to 12 years) of working parents in a nurturing environment where as Kidzee caters to the academic requirements of children in the age group 2 to 6 years. Kidzee also offers creative activities for the age group 3 years to 14 years.
Is the Kidzcare accredited?
There is no accreditation agency for Childcare in India as of now. However, it comes under the ambit of ISO 9000 as ZILS has a quality certification under the same.
What is the difference between Kidzcare & Daycare?
Kidzcare offers day time care for children (6 months to 12 years) of working parents in a nurturing environment where as Daycare* provides daytime training, supervision, recreation & offers medical services for children of preschool age, for the disabled, or for the elderly (*as defined in www.dictionary.com).
What is the qualification of Care Providers?
The Care Providers must be ECC trained, MSc. in Child development or Human development, M.A., B Ed or graduates with experience in teaching / handling children.
All staff also undergoes rigorous training. The training includes lectures, workshops, first aid training and assigned readings.
Who has designed and developed the Program?
Experts in the field of early childhood, child development, nutrition, architecture etc. have designed and developed the various aspects of the programs. The manuals are detailed with relevant information for easy use at the center. For e.g. the activity manual enlists various recreational activities related to art & craft, role-play, story telling and making, language and number activities, motor development, outdoor & indoor games, music etc.
What kind of training would be provided to my Staff?
Franchisee Orientation program would be conducted for the business partners/ center head.
Complete training for the successful implementation of the Kidzcare program with focus on care, safety, health, hygiene and activities and special first-aid training for Care Providers. The attendant training shall be imparted to the care providers who in turn will train the attendants at the center.
How do the attendants handle the children?
Special training is provided to them to ensure that they handle children properly and follow a good code of conduct.
What are your policies on health at the center?
Health: Parents are asked to submit upon entry the immunization record and medical history of their child. A list of allergies is also requested. To maintain a health standard children who are sick or recovering from an illness are not allowed in the center On recovery, a fitness certificate/letter from a pediatrician will have to be produced . In addition, every Kidzcare center has a tie up with a local hospital / nursing home / medical center for administering emergency medical aid .Each centre also has a qualified & trained Nurse who attends to all health related issues of the children.
How is medication administered at the center?
The medicines will have to be provided by the parents and the details for administering the same will have to be given in writing in the Medicine form. The Nurse under the supervision of the Centre Head will administer it.
What is the difference between Kidzcare & a Crèche?
Kidzcare offers daytime care for children (6 months to 12 years) of working parents in a nurturing environment where as Crèche* is a place where foundlings (infants of unknown parents) are taken in and cared for. (*as defined in www.dictionary.com)
How does Kidzcare program promote quality Childcare?
Kidzcare programs have been designed with great care keeping in mind the age appropriate developmental needs of the child. In addition all aspects of Safety, Security, Health, Hygiene & Nutrition has been taken care of in line with international standards.
Can parents send food for their children?
Parents are not allowed to send food for the children, except in case of special dietary needs. No junk food and sugar candies can be sent along with the children.
What would my child's schedule be like? How many days a week? How many hours per day?
Kidzcare is open from 08.00 am to 08.00 pm from Monday to Saturday. However different options are available to meet individual parent needs.
What is a typical day like?
Children arrive and are greeted by the staff. Parents may write notes on the clipboards to relay information to the Care Providers, such as feeding, sleeping, pick-up etc. Breakfast is served. Activities such as block play, dramatic play, language and number activities, etc as planned for the different rooms are set out for children. Circle time, group activities and other planned activities are conducted as per schedule.
Lunchtime is used as an opportunity to encourage social skills among children. This is usually followed by a quiet activity such as story time or other activities and sleep time. Children who do not sleep may lie down or have quiet activities such as library time or an art activity so as not to disturb the other children. After sleep time, as children wake up, they freshen up. The evening is planned with outdoor / indoor activities. Older children may complete their homework and school assignments. This is followed by snack time. After snack time, children engage in quiet activities until parents arrive.
What will my child learn?
There are many things that the children learn at Kidzcare. Social Skills is one important thing: making friends, understanding rules, caring for others, communicating feelings and ideas are just some good things that come out of being with children at an early age.
The center also tries to develop a genuine interest in various fields like art, science, literature and music. Regular activities like Math, Reading and Writing are reinforced in games and through play. The emphasis is to develop a love for these activities through active involvement with a wide variety of materials and play and learn equipment.
What is the adult - child ratio in my child's room?
Infant: (1:3)

Is the parent or maids required or allowed to stay in the classroom? For how long?
New children will be gradually introduced to the program. One or two hour visits as encouraged initially and then building up more hours over the second week. Parents/maids are asked to stay with their child until they are assured that their child is comfortable and settled.
How much is the monthly fees? What does this include?
Rates vary depending on the program your child joins. The monthly fee is inclusive of the care, nutrition and daily activities at the center.
What are your policies on safety and security at the center?
For the safety of our children, the center has devised a pick-up / drop in procedure. Each room has a CCTV, fire extinguisher and an evacuation plan posted in case of emergencies. Regular fire drills are also conducted.
What measures do you take to ensure Hygiene at your center?
Kidzcare center follows the Health and Hygiene manual to maintain high standards of the same. Regular cleaning and sanitization of the rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipments and other appliances is carried out. All staff is encouraged to maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
